Cinnamon-Lemon Drink

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle includes far more than just choosing more healthy food. When we look around ourselves, we can see a lot of products these days and it’s hard to tell which of them are healthier than other. What we believe is that many of the healthiest drinks there is would be able to come right you’re your own kitchen.

To be honest, most of the time I prefer water over anything else. Nothing can hydrate you better than good old, pure water. It also contains no calories at all.

But, sometimes I also like to experiment and add some small ingredients to this pure potion. To do that, I would normally chose them to be both healing and detoxifying. One of the well-known detoxifiers is lemon and thus the choice. But also, did you knew that for cinnamon it is believed to curb sugar cravings? During the spring season allergy and pollen season comes along and mint help sinuses. My personal advice is that you could mix up a large batch in the morning and drink it throughout the day. Couple of days repeating this and you will feel better in no time!

Ingredients

32 oz. filtered cold water
1 lemon
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon*
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

Take a large pitcher and combine water, cinnamon, juice from one lemon and vanilla extract. Stir until the cinnamon is combined. Pour the ice over the mix and garnish with mint leaves.
